What is Sona?
Sona is a social music discovery app. Discover songs playing around you, save them with where you found them, and share your taste with friends.
How does song recognition work?
Tap discover, hold your phone toward the music, and Sona identifies the track in seconds. No audio is stored or sent to our servers.
Is Sona free?
Yes. Sona is completely free during the beta.
What platforms is Sona available on?
iOS only for now, available through TestFlight. More platforms coming soon.
Why does Sona need my location?
Location is what makes Sona special. We tag your discoveries with the venue, neighborhood, and city so you remember where you found each song. You can always skip location or change it before posting, and you can turn off location access in your device settings at any time.
How do I delete my account?
Open the app, go to Settings, and tap Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, discoveries, and all associated data.
